Description

Zeppelin Systems Latin America offers transport for practically all types of dry solid materials. Your projects can be transported in both dilute and dense phases, varying according to the specified product. Whether for unloading tanks, filling silos or feeding systems, the equipment guarantees transport security, both by positive and negative pressure, optimizing our customers' system as much as possible.

Zeppelin supplies its products according to the specification given by the customer, for example, in cases where the material is hygroscopic (substance with a high capacity to absorb water), dry air is the most suitable as well as for potentially explosive products Indicated would be an inert gas such as nitrogen.

Pneumatic conveying systems in most cases is presented as follows:

Let us now see how pneumatic conveying systems are divided

Pneumatic conveying in dilute phase

The grains are transported continuously and with a small concentration inside the pipe, which forces the pressure to be high and constant, it is important to note that there is enough air here for little product to be transported, however, the speed of this type of transport is high compared to the dense phase. For constant air injection to occur, fans, blowers or air compressors are used, this transport is more used for powders and non-abrasive materials, as the properties of these materials allow the transport to be carried out more abruptly.

Pneumatic conveying in dense phase

Considered more efficient than the dilute phase, the dense phase transports the grains in small dunes inside the tube, which forces the pressure to be high and interspersed (pulsating), this transport is slower than the previous one, it is important to note that here each air pulse moves a larger amount of raw material (energy saving), this transport allows abrasive and difficult to fluidize materials to be transported without major problems, it is generally used for granules and abrasive materials.

Pneumatic conveying in dense phase with pipe-in-pipe technology

The grains are also transported in small dunes, however, a localized injection of air is required so that no complete obstructions of the air passage (clogging) occur, this transport is used when the product is abrasive and needs to be transported at a low speed with little friction between the product and the piping, preserving the product and the transport system.

Dense phase pneumatic conveying with bypass valve technology

As with pipe-in-pipe technology, the grain is conveyed in dunes with air injections, but sensors tell you when and where air needs to be injected (saving energy).

In this case, due to the properties of the material conveyed, successive clogging of the conveyor can occur, but the bypass overflow technology guarantees that the pipes are not clogged and makes the conveyance as reliable as possible, with a complete optimization ensuring that the conveyance will not experience any future problems.

Pneumatic vacuum transport

This type of transport, also known as negative pressure transport, is commonly used to transport materials from sources to a single receiver. Due to the low pressure used, the required rotary valve is cheaper, however larger filter elements become necessary due to the higher volume of air under negative pressure conditions in the filter. This type of system also offers greater protection against leaks, since it works at pressures below atmospheric.

Main benefits

  • Pneumatic System capable of eliminating waste of raw material and contamination of products;

  • Desired efficiency gain by having the required quantity of product at the final destination;

  • Great reduction of the number of operators required to perform to almost zero for the same job when done manually;

  • Optimization of production (without stops and fully automated);

  • Increase in profits (expenses and procution time are reduced);

  • Increased transport capacity (continuously transporting large quantities of material).
