The BULKTILTER®, a container tilting system developed and manufactured by Zeppelin Systems Latin America, has become a key element in reducing the logistics costs of powdered and granular raw materials.

The economizer is responsible for the recovery of heat from the Process Gas of the Nitric Acid Production Unit and comes from the Expander of the Compression Unit. Its installation is in the exhaust chimney. In it, the Boiler Water (BFW) is heated by hot gas with a thermal load of 4,700 MKal / Hour.

To increase the capacity of their mixing and logistic plant in Vicente Casares, nearby Buenos Aires, Loma Negra is building a new multi chamber silo. They awarded Zeppelin Systems Latin America with an order for the supply of the extraction and loading systems for bulk solids from bulk tank trucks and the feeding of the bagging machines.

Zeppelin Reimelt GmbH plans, develops, manufactures and installs process - technological systems for the handling of powdered, viscous and liquid raw materials as well as mixers for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, plastics processing and chemical industries.

From the receiving hopper, the raw materials are directly conducted to the silos. The selection of destination silo is automatically done through pneumatic diverter valves. This process avoids manual handling, speeds up discharge times, occupies less floor space and grants a cleaner plant.

The case was analyzed in detail. The solution adopted was to cool the air + calcined nickel powder up to a point that conventional polyester bags could be used.

The expansion included improvements in the receipt of wheat flour in big bags, its pneumatic conveying to storage silos, conveying system to the new dosing and weighing scales and to the new mixers. All these systems have been fully integrated to a PLC control system.
