An international mining company that extracts and processes iron ore north of Belo Horizonte in Minas Gerais awarded ZEPPELIN SYSTEMS LATIN AMERICA with an order to supply a cornstarch handling and receiving plant.

To grant a steady supply of cement, J. MALUCELLI relied on JMB ZEPPELIN to provide for a pneumatic conveying system. This system was designed in dilute phase with hopper and conveying screw, air and conveying piping as well as corresponding compressed air source.

From the receiving hopper, the raw materials are directly conducted to the silos. The selection of destination silo is automatically done through pneumatic diverter valves. This process avoids manual handling, speeds up discharge times, occupies less floor space and grants a cleaner plant.

Onça Puma’s processing plant will use RKEF – Rotary Kiln Electric Furnace technology with fines recovery from process fumes through electrostatic precipitators and bag filters.
