Sig Combibloc relies on Zeppelin Systems' quality and technology to equip the receiving process of raw materials in its brazilian factory

SIG Combibloc, one of the worldwide leaders in the manufacturing of packing systems and aseptic carton packages (long life) for foods and beverages, recently acquired from Zeppelin an equipment that tilts containers, called “BULKTILER”, aiming at a cost reduction in dry bulk handling. Inaugurated in 2011, the plant of SIG Combibloc in Brazil is located in Campo Largo city (PR).

The BULKTILTER®, developed and fabricated by Zeppelin Systems Latin America, affirmed itself as essential equipment in costs-reduction for powdered or granulated raw materials. This equipment allows for loading and unloading industrial powders or granulated raw materials transported in standard containers of 20’ (ISO 688:1995) wit “internal” liner.

Advantages of the Bulktilter® are:

• Equipment tilts the containers transported on regular trucks our bogies, dispensing the use of tipper trucks or silo trucks;

• Flexibility in choosing the truck is a significant advantage that reduces the logistics costs related to the raw material’s supply;

• Cost reduction on packaging materials (Handling / Loading/ Unloading / Handling of dry goods dispensing the use of big-bags);

• Heavy-duty equipment made of carbon steel. Equipped with hydraulic unit, automated control and integrated with programmable logic controller (PLC). It also has man-machine interface (MMI) with graphics of easy interpretation (Total Autonomy);

• Allows Global Sourcing.

In combination with a CDU- Container Discharge Unit, the transfer of the raw materials from the truck is made in efficient, clean and economical way.

Zeppelin Systems Latin America is proud of having participated in this important project and congratulates SIG Combibloc for its investment and trust in Zeppelin’s quality.

Count always on the excellent solutions that Zeppelin Systems LA has to offer!
